Steps to Self-Respect

  1. Be positive in the way you see and talk about yourself.
  2. Keep a clean, neat appearance that will make you feel confident.
  3. Take care of your body through exercise and nutrition.
  4. Surround yourself with company who appreciate you for you.
  5. Stay away from anything that pollutes your body and mind, such as alcohol and drugs.
  6. Choose carefully what you watch on TV or the Internet.
  7. When given a compliment, accept it with open arms.
  8. Body language says a lot about respect for yourself so stand tall and keep your head up.
  9. Admire others and stand up for the ones being bullied or teased.
  10. Take care of your mind by always striving to learn more.
